For future applicants

Who can apply for the Ireland Fellows Programme?

The Ireland Fellows Programme supports early- to mid-career professionals from eligible partner countries — including Papua New Guinea under the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) strand — to study a fully funded Master's degree in Ireland. Eligibility, eligible countries, and application dates change each round, so always check the official Ireland Fellows Programme page for the current call.

What does the scholarship cover?

The fellowship is fully funded: it covers tuition fees, flights, accommodation, a monthly living allowance, insurance, and other settling-in costs. The figure shown on this site (a €30,000 midpoint estimate per fellow) is our own record-keeping estimate, not an official number — the exact value varies by university, course, and year.

Where do I find official application information?

Start with the Apply to study page on this site, which links to the Ireland Fellows Programme, Education in Ireland, the Department of Foreign Affairs scholarship announcements, and Irish Aid. Those official pages carry the current eligibility rules, deadlines, and application forms.

Is this site an official scholarship application channel?

No. This is an independent alumni record run by PNG Ireland Fellows alumni. Nothing on this site is an application, and submitting your story here does not put you in contact with the scholarship selection process. Always apply through the official channels linked on the Apply to study page.

For alumni

I studied in Ireland on a different scholarship or years ago. Can I be included?

Yes. The record welcomes Papua New Guinean alumni of any Irish scholarship and any year — Ireland Fellows (SIDS), Ad Astra, Irish Research Council, Government of Ireland, postdoctoral fellowships and others — at Master's, PhD or postdoctoral level. Use "Add my story" and name your scholarship in the form.

How do I add my story to the record?

Go to Add your story and enter your email address. We send you a private one-time link — it works for one hour and can be used once — and only that link opens the story form. This keeps the record free of spam and fake entries.

I'm one of the alumni already listed. How do I update my profile?

You should have received a personal update link from the record keeper. Open that link to review and edit your details, then save. If you've lost your link, contact the keeper through the alumni Facebook or LinkedIn page and a fresh one can be sent.

When will my story appear on the site?

Every new story and every update goes into a review queue first. The moment one arrives, the record keeper is alerted by email, checks it, and only after approval does it appear publicly on the Impact page, Directory, Testimonials, and everywhere else. Nothing is published automatically.

Can I update my profile after it's published?

Yes. Alumni already listed can use their personal update link any time. Each saved update alerts the record keeper by email and returns to the review queue, going live once approved again, so the record always stays accurate.

Privacy & review

What information is shown publicly?

Only what you allow. The form asks separately for consent to show your photo, your contact details, your feedback quote, and your story. Each one is your choice, and you can change your mind on any update.

Will my contact details be public?

Only if you switch on contact consent. Otherwise your email and LinkedIn stay private to the record keeper.

Who can see my submission before it's approved?

Only the record keeper, through the Manage page. Unpublished profiles never appear on the public site.

How do I ask for something to be corrected or removed?

Use your personal update link to correct details yourself, or message the keeper through the alumni Facebook or LinkedIn page and ask for the change or removal. Requests from the person a profile is about are always honoured.

Ready to add your story?

Verify your email and your story will be on its way to the record keeper.
